Obituary for Loretta Adams
Loretta Hall Adams, daughter of the late Bill and Opal Polly Adams was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, November 21, 1928. She entered eternal life Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at her residence in Pert Creek, Kentucky being 88 years, 3 months and 18 days of age at the time of her passing.
Loretta was married to the late Carl Buford Adams on January 25, 1947. He preceded her in death February 15, 1971. She retired from Hoover's Department Store where she worked for 28 years. She also taught school in her earlier years and was a member of the Thornton Old Regular Baptist Church at Mayking, Kentucky.
She is survived by two sons; Terry L. (Debbie) Adams and Larry D. (Hettie) Adams both of Pert Creek, Kentucky. One brother, Billy Joe (Fern) Hall of Covington, Kentucky. Two sisters; Betty (Charles) Addington of Pleasureville, Kentucky and Lora Sexton of Mayking, Kentucky. Four grandchildren; Terry Jr., Stephen, Melissa and Larry Neal. Five great grandchildren; Chloe, Destiny, Samantha, Christian and Piper.
Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Loretta was preceded in death by a son, Gary N. Adams. A grandson, Carl Jason Adams. One brother, Claude L. Hall. Two sisters; Lena Hall and Lillian Nease.
