Obituary for Lona Begley
Lona Begley, daughter of the late Joe Pennington and Sabrina Caudill Pennington was born in Whitco, Kentucky on September 30, 1932. She entered eternal life Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Symphony of Hanover Park in Hanover Park, Illinois being 88 years, and 27 days of age at the time of her passing.
Lona married Ralph Begley May 10, 1958 in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He passed away November 15, 2016. She enjoyed reading, cooking, puzzle books and making cooking. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, neighbor and a great friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by two loving daughters, Sherry Lynn (Roger) Diebold of Stringwood, Illinois and Debra Ann (Jeff) Holecek of Rochester, Minnesota. A brother, Douglas Lee Pennington of Cary, Illinois.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Tabatha, Patrick, Bobby, Michael, Alexandria and Jordyn. Seven grandchildren, Natasha, Joseph, Alex, Anastasia, Avriella, Danni, Liam and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by a son, Ralph Edward Begley, Jr. One brother, Joseph Carl Pennington. Five sister, Mabel Pennington, Helen Pennington, Evelyn Burkhart, Ellen Russell and Louise Castle.
