Obituary for Lieutenant Colonel James M. Caudill, Jr
Lieutenant Colonel James Monroe Caudill Jr., son of the late James M.Caudill, Sr. and Atha Bentley Caudill was born in Neon, Kentucky April 21, 1931. He entered eternal life Saturday, July 28, 2018 at his residence in Mayking, Kentucky being 87 years, 3 months and 26 days of age at the time of his passing.
James was married to the late Betty June Wynkoop Caudill. She passed away April 9, 2007. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him. James was a veteran, serving in the United States Army as rank of Lieutenant Colonel and having served in Vietnam.
He is survived by two sons; Barry V. (Eleanor) Caudill of Mayking, Kentucky and Rory K. (Mika) Caudill of Lexington, Kentucky. Two sisters; Pauline "Penny" Ritter Combs of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Anna C. Craft of North Carolina.
Also surviving are seven grandchildren; Brandee Caudill Hall, Leslie Brooke Caudill, James M. Caudill IV, Tina Caudill Kincer, Rodney Wayne Caudill, Takumi Caudill ,and Corwin Caudill. Six great grandchildren; Zachary Clay Hall, Molly Elizabeth Hall, Paige Caudill, Kyle Caudill, Dylan Caudill,Haley Caudill and the family was blessed with five wonderful caregivers , Nora Fowler,Norma Noble,Julie Breeding,Money Cornett ,Roberta Brown and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
James was preceded in death by a son, James M. Caudill, III.
