Obituary for Lettie Faye Hall
Lettie Faye Slone Hall of Winchester, KY passed away on Friday, July 12th, 2024 at the age of 81 years old. Lettie was born in Letcher County, KY to Isom Slone and Maggie Taylor Slone on November 18th, 1942, and was a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Brock, sisters Meldia Slone, Myrtle Sexton, Gladys Amburgey and Corsey Baker, brothers Isom Slone, Jr and Pete Slone.
She was married to Melvin Hall. He passed away March 7, 2023.
Lettie is survived by a son, Jeff (Margaret) Hall, brother Wilson "Jay" (Josie) Slone, Della "Dixie" Watkins , grandchildren Larry Brock Jr, Brandon (Amy) Brock, Brittany (Jody) Brock, Samantha Hall and Matthew (Liz) Hall, and great grandchildren Jaxon, Lauren, Clay, Kyleigh and Bryson, as well as a host of family and friends to mourn her passing.
Lettie was stricken with the horrible disease of Alzheimer's. Before Alzheimer's took her away, she made her final request that her brain be donated to an Alzheimer's study through the University of Kentucky and the Sanders-Brown Center on Aging. With this in mind, the family requests that donations be made in lieu of flowers to Alzheimer's research in memory of Lettie and the battle she fought daily against this disease.
