Obituary for Lawrence "Sonny" Stacy
Lawrence "Sonny" Stacy, son of the late Howard and Ruby Walker Stacy was born in Hazard, Kentucky December 24, 1946. He entered eternal life on Sunday, December 23, 2012 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being sixty five years, eleven months and thirty days of age at the time of his passing. He married Wanda Faye Holland June 3, 1979 in Wise, Virginia. She passed away April 22, 2008. He was a member of the Whitesburg First Baptist Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing, drawing, reading and football. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by a loving sister, IdaLee Hansel of Boiling Springs, South Carolina. One son, Benny Hart of Thornton, Kentucky. One daughter; Shirley Hart of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Joseph.
