Obituary for Joye Faye Cassidy
Joye Faye Cassidy, daughter of the late Levi and Viola Adams Joseph was born on October 23, 1933 in Letcher County, Kentucky. She entered eternal life on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky being 80 years, 2 months and 8 days of age at the time of her passing. She was a teacher for 27 years at the Whitesburg High School. Joye was a member of the Jeremiah Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed painting, cooking, fishing and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Donald Cassidy of Vanceburg, Kentucky. One son, Daniel Cassidy of Vanceburg, Kentucky. Three sisters; Josephine Dazey and husband Russell of Evansville, Indiana, Magdlean Joseph of Premium, Kentucky and Mary Tyree of Smoot Creek, Kentucky. Also surviving, a grandchild Joshua Cassidy and his mother Ashley Cassidy and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She is preceded in death by four brothers; Lee, Louis, Bill and Ken. Three sisters; Bessie, May and Ruby.
