Obituary for Josephine Spangler
Josephine Spangler, daughter of the late Sydney and Mary Combs Hensley was born at Whitesburg, Kentucky, October 21, 1932. She entered eternal life Thursday, May 9, 2019 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 86 years, 6 months and 18 days of age at the time of her passing.
Josephine was married to the late Ray Cook, he passed away in 1965. She later married Lindsay Spangler. He died in 1976. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by two sons; Daniel Cook of Millstone, Kentucky and Willie Cook of Jackhorn, Kentucky. Three daughters; Ella Joe Cook and Mary Collins both of Isom, Kentucky and Glenna Sizemore of Thornton, Kentucky. One brother, Sidney Hensley of Indiana and one sister, Vina Lucas of Thornton, Kentucky.
Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Josephine was preceded in death by four sons; Adam Jeffrey Cook, Christopher Cook, Sydney Ray Cook and Elbert Ray Cook. A grandson, Daniel Ray Collins.
