Obituary for Joseph Walker
Joseph Walker, son of the late Mike and Jula Walker was born in Jenkins, Kentucky, December 23, 1923. He entered eternal life Saturday, August 3, 2013 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky being 89 years, 7 months and 10 days of age at the time of his passing. Joe was married to the late Gaynell Mosgrove Walker. She passed away June 4, 1997. He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Marines. Joe was a member of the Bethlehem Steel Rescue Team. He is survived by three sons; Joey Paul (Pam) Walker of McRoberts, Kentucky, Robert Walker of Lafollette, Tennessee and Michael Walker of Lexington, Kentucky. One daughter, Ginger (Gary) Collins of McRoberts, Kentucky. One sister, Helen Hoskins of Dayton, Ohio. Four grandchildren; Christopher (Chelsea) Walker, Gary Joe (Mary) Collins, Joshua Collins (Crystal Sparks) and Emily Walker. Three great grandchildren; Abigail Collins, Blake Walker and Levi Sparks. Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Joe was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny Walker and Mike Walker.
