Johnny R. Adams, son of the late Raymond and Oma Profitt Adams, was born at Campbranch, Kentucky, on October 21, 1938. He entered eternal life on Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at his residence at Sandlick, Kentucky, being 83 years, 10 months and 10 days of age at the time of his passing.
Johnny married Mercitus Duncil on October 25, 1958. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all that knew him. Johnny enjoyed hunting, fishing and flying model airplanes. He spent countless summers coaching senior league baseball and he was a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church at Millstone, Kentucky.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mercitus of Sandlick; one son, Avery Lynn (Kim) Adams of Isom and one daughter, Jatanna (Keith) Hall of Pikeville. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Jonathan (Sonji) Adams, Justin (Natasha) Adams, Emily (Barrett) Pack, Evan Hall and Olivia Hall; three great grandchildren; Wyatt Adams, Molly Adams and Camden Adams; One brother-in-law, Earl (Coleen) Duncil and a host of other family members and friends to mourn his passing.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, Raymnond and Oma Adams and his brother, Jimmy Adams.
