Obituary for Joe H. Morris
Joe Henry Morris, son of the late Alfred and Ogie Craft Morris was born June 14, 1939 in Mayking, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Monday, October 22, 2018 at his residence in Mayking, Kentucky being 79 years, 4 months and 8 days of age at the time of his passing.
Joe was married to Janice Necessary who preceded him in death on September 7, 1973. He later married Kathy Bates. Joe was an avid fisherman and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and a great friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by seven loving daughters; Karen (Larry) Spangler of Berea, Kentucky. Christine (Billy) Hopkins of Wise, Virginia, Pam Banks of Ashland, Kentucky, Latasha (Terry) Mullins of Jenkins, Kentucky, Patricia (Mark) Collins of Isom, Kentucky. Tracy (Michael) McNeely of Mayking, Kentucky and Regina Anderson of Omaha,Nebraska. Four sons; Billy (Diane) Morris of Mayking, Kentucky, Ronnie Morris of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Joe, Jr. (Belinda) Morris of Partridge, Kentucky and Corbin Joe (Reva) Joseph of Troy, Ohio. One stepdaughter, Tabitha (John) Adams of Isom, Kentucky. Three brothers; Jim (Gaynelle) Morris of Lexington, Kentucky, Glennis (Joyce) Morris and Charles Morris both of Mayking, Kentucky. Three sisters; Betty (Don) Taylor of Montcalm, West Virginia, Gaynell (Ben) Polly of South Carolina and Mary (Phil) Fugate of Mayking, Kentucky.
Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Caleb Hopkins and William Hayden Joseph and three brothers; Darrell Ray Morris, Clyde Dale Morris and Venyard Morris.
