Obituary for Jewell L. Sergent
Jewell L. Sergent, daughter of the late Denver and Edna Mae Paul Morris was born June 15, 1954 in Harlan County, Kentucky. She entered eternal life Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her residence in Cumberland, Kentucky being 64 years and 13 days of age at the time of her passing.
She married Minton Vernon Sergent on May 12, 1974. He preceded her in death on April 29, 2013. She was a member of the Bill Moore Branch Holiness Church. Jewell enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a great friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by six sons; Ryan Sergent of Tazewell, Tennessee, Vernon Sergent Jr. of Calhoun, Georgia, Nicholas Sergent of Villanow, Georgia, Robby Sergent of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bryan Sergent of Cumberland, Kentucky, Joey Sergent of Lexington, Kentucky. Two daughters; Stacey Moore and Robin Cochran both Calhoun, Georgia. Three brothers, Dorris Clark of Hernado, Florida, Wayne Morris of Somerset, Kentucky and Allen Morris of Cumberland, Kentucky. Six sisters, Eula Rasnick and Diana Neece both of Kingsport, Tennessee, Shelia Edwards of Cumberland , Kentucky, Betty Kilbourne of Eolia, Kentucky, Carmella Hendrickson of Somerset, Kentucky and Margie White of Lancaster, Kentucky.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Lewis.
