Obituary for Jerry Lee "Rootbeer" Marcum
Jerry Lee "Root Beer" Marcum, son of the late Francis and Hazel Perry Adams was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky August 21, 1950. He entered eternal life Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at The Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 69 years, 3 months and 8 days of age at the time of his passing.
Jerry was married to the late Wanda Marcum and also Katherine who preceded him in death. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by two sons; David Lee (Julie) Marcum of Pikeville, Kentucky and Jerry Clafford (Kendra) Marcum of Hindman, Kentucky. A stepson, Billy Jent of London, Kentucky. One Daughter, Lilly Janell Blackburn of Ermine, Kentucky. One step daughter, Dorothy (Larry) Quillen of London, Kentucky. Six brothers; Frank (Jeanie) Adams of Ermine, Kentucky, Mike (Joetta) Adams of Hindman, Kentucky, Ronald Adams of Covington, Kentucky, Mark Adams of Ermine, Kentucky, Timbo Adams of Ermine, Kentucky and Danny "Doc" (Betty) Adams of Ermine, Kentucky. Three sisters; Diana Adams of Ermine, Kentucky, Pat (Red) Adams of Ermine, Kentucky and Linda (John) Perry of Lexington, Kentucky.
Also Surviving are 14 Grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
