Obituary for Jerrry Whitaker
Jerry Wayne Whitaker, son of Alamander and Alice Sparkman Whitaker was born on January 28, 1945. He entered eternal life October 26, 2012 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky being 67 years, 8 months and 28 days of age at the time of his passing. Jerry was married to the late Sherry Lynn Paige Whitaker ,she passed away July 18,2011.He was a loving father, grandfather and brother and a great friend to all who knew him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing.Jerry was a Viet Nam veteran,serving in the united states army and a member of the Whitesburg American legion post no.152 and V,F,W. post no.5829. He is survived by one stepdaughter, Vicki Keith and husband Marty of Cumberland, Kentucky. Three sisters; May Caudill of Hallie, Kentucky, Corcie Blair of Virginia and Essie Haarman of Cincinatti, Ohio. Five grandchildren; Mackenzie, Ethan, Kera, Harley and Dakota. Also surviving are two special caregivers, Sheila Short and Tim Short and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Glenn Whitaker and Ira Whitaker. One Sister, Roudell Birchfield. Two nephews; Junior Mitchell and Green Edward Blair.
