Obituary for Jenetta Mae Cook
Jenetta Mae Cook, daughter of the late James Woodie and Ethel Verdie Mullins McElroy was born on March 18, 1933 at Millstone, Kentucky. She entered eternal life Monday, December 24, 2018 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital being 85 years, 9 months and 6 days of age at the time of her passing.
Jenetta was married to the late James Marvin Cook who passed away on August 17, 1998. She enjoyed sewing and feeding her humming birds. She was a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by a daughter, Gloria Ann Phipps of Millstone, Kentucky. Two brothers; Donald Ray McElroy of Whitesburg, Kentucky and William Larry McElroy of Greenville, Tennessee. Brenda Hazel Fields of Dayton, Ohio. Three grandchildren; Angela Michelle Phipps, Ronnie Gale Phipps Jr., and Randy Lee Phipps. Four great grandchildren; Austin Phipps, Justin Phipps, Matthew Phipps and Kristen Phipps.
She was preceded in death by five sisters; Barbara Ann McElroy, Dorothy Jean Johnson, Lillie Opal Mason, Virginia Pauline Mason and Mary Evelyn Bentley. Five brothers; Woodie Edward McElroy, Ralph Edward McElroy, James Goman McElroy, Robert Howard McElroy and Emitt Wood McElroy.
