Obituary for James W. Bentley
James W. Bentley, son of the late James Wilson and Margie Tackett Bentley was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, September 19, 1927. He entered eternal life Thursday September 19, 2012 at the Greg-Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 85 years, 4 months and 13 days of age at the time of his passing. James was married to the late Loretta "Ret" Bentley, she passed away September 12, 2001. He was a member of the Elizabeth Old Regular Baptist Church at Millstone, Kentucky. He is survived by five sons:J.C. Bentley of Pound, Virginia, Freddy Bentley of Millstone, Kentucky; Dan Bentley and Darrell Bentley both of Norton, Virginia and Allen Bentley of Amhurst, Ohio. Two daughters; Carolyn Jenkins of Pulaski, Virginia and Annette Freeman of Wise, Virginia. Two brothers; Bill Bentley of Norton, Virginia and Garland Bentley of Bristol, Virginia. Two sisters: Mattie Diets of Dante, Virginia and Mandy Price of Johnson City, Tennessee. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, several Great Grandchildren, Three Great Great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. James was preceded in death by a son, Edwin Ross Bentley. Two sisters: Marie Miller and Beatrice Bentley. Two brothers: Arville Bentley and Junior Bentley.
