Obituary for James (Pork) York
James "Pork" York a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a life time of cherished memories and laughter.
He is survived by his devoted wife Eva "Maetta" York; his loving siblings, Ernie and Helen York; his nieces, Jessica ( Derrick), Justa (Jerome) Tabitha, and Tonya; his nephew, Cody; his great nieces Daejah, Khloe and Layla ; as well as his great nephews Derrick and Hunter. He was a proud stepfather to Stacy (Jr) and a devoting grandfather to Corbin and Branson.
Pork was proceeded in death by his brother, Jerry York and his parents Docie and Paul York. also a best friend, Timothy "Blister" Cook and Godson, Tj Cook. Though they are gone, their love and influence remained a constant in is life.
He was a man that loved the simple joys. Pork found peace and happiness on the water, wether it was fishing or just enjoying the stillness it offered. To his great nieces and nephews, he was affectionately know a "Bubbyetta" a role he embraced with a full heart. His special friendship with Jackie Frazier and Doris "Dob" Banks were a testament to the kindness and loyalty he shared with those closest to him.
His presence will be deeply missed but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
