Obituary for James Michael "Mike" Harris
James Michael "Mike" Harris, son of Glenna Stewart Smith was born November 19, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky being 62 years, 4 months and 12 days of age at the time of his passing.
Mike married Glenna Jean Cornett on September 11, 1982. Mike was a member and Deacon of the First Baptist Church in Whitesburg where he served the lord faithfully since 1995. He worked for Pepsi from 1981 until 2019 when he retired. He went on to work for Childers Oil from 2019 until the time of his passing.
Mike was known for his kindness to others and his gentle spirit. He loved God and lived life with a servants heart. Mike enjoyed being outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He took tremendous pride in his family, devoting all of his time to his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Glenna Jean Harris of Whitesburg, Kentucky. His mother, Glenna Smith of Whitesburg, Kentucky. One son, Cory (Kelsey) Harris of Mayking, Kentucky. One daughter, Leah (Brandon) Craft of Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Two sisters; Sheree (Don) Combs of Paris, Kentucky and Robin Jolly and Barry of Jeremiah, Kentucky. Three grandchildren; Carson and Kinslee Harris and Sadie Craft.
Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
