Obituary for James D. Griffith
James David Griffith, son of Minerva Gibson Griffith and the late Dewey Griffith was born March 10, 1959 in Seco, Kentucky. He entered eternal life Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hazard, Kentucky being 56 years, 8 months and 29 days of age at the time of his passing. He was a loving son, father, Husband and a great friend to all that knew him. He enjoyed fishing. He taught Martial Arts for 42 years and was a member of the Black Belt hall of fame. He is survived by his wife Laura Griffith of Whitesburg, Kentucky. His mother Minerva Griffith of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two sons; James (JD) (Misty) of Neon, Kentucky and Jonathan Griffith of Baltimore, Maryland. One daughter, Christy (David) Collins of Neon, Kentucky. One brother, Robert Ronnie Griffith of Georgia. One sister, Pauline Miller of Tennessee. Seven grandchildren; Jordan Paige , Taner Lee , Taylor Lynn , Skylar, Jepatha, Christian and Brody. Three great-grandchildren, Arieana, Remington and Zoey Piper. He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
