Obituary for Ida Mae Halcomb
Ida Mae Halcomb, daughter of the late Willey Maxie and Bertha Gibson Maxie, was born in Letcher County, Kentucky July 4, 1932. She entered eternal life on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 79 years, 8 months and 21 days of age at the time of her passing. Ida Mae married Walter Halcomb and he passed away on November 7, 2000. She was a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church in Millstone, Kentucky and attended Forgiven ministries in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She is survived by her three daughters; Bertha Mae Sexton and husband Kenneth of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Brenda Sue Halcomb of Whitesburg, Kentucky, and Markie Sue Kilgore and husband Charles also of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two sons; Herbert Halcomb and wife Novella of Thornton, Kentucky and Hershel Halcomb and wife Debbie of Whitesburg, Kentucky. One sister; Dosie York of Sandlick, Kentucky. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and 9 step-great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
