Obituary for Hurl O. "Peck" Hubbard
Hurl O. "Peck" Hubbard, son of the late James Russell and Edna Riner Hubbard was born in Pound, Virginia, December 4, 1926. He entered eternal life Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 95 years,11 months and 10 days of age at the time of his passing.
Peck married Martha Abdoo February 23, 1962 in Clintwood, Virginia. She passed away May 6, 2003. He enjoyed dancing, watching baseball and he was even offered a position with the Pittsburg Pirates. He attended the Neon First Church of God in Neon, Kentucky and was a member of the Neon Masonic Lodge Matt Hester Post # 884.
He is survived by his loving daughter Jennie Ann "Quinn" Bowling of Jenkins, Kentucky; a sister, Wilma Carter of Gray, Tennessee; brother-in-law, Lloyd "Teresa" Abdoo of Carrollton, Kentucky.
Also surviving is a granchild Ethan Bowling and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Hubbard and Huilet Hubbard; a sister, Mildred Roberson; two brother-in-laws, Frank Abdoo and Tom Abdoo.
