Obituary for Helen Christine Richardson
Helen Christine Richardson, daughter of the late Delzie and Dallas Slone Amburgey was born August 28, 1930 in Knott County, Kentucky. She entered eternal life, Thursday, June 30, 2016 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 85 years, 10 months and 2 days of age at the time of her passing.
She married John Richardson December 24, 1947, who preceded her in death. Helen was a member of the Premium Baptist Church. She worked at the Craft's Department Store and Dawahare's as a sales associate for over 15 years combined. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, reading and spending time with her grandchildren and family.
She is survived by a son, Larry Richardson of Lebanon, Ohio. One daughter Sharon (Rondall) Meade of Roxana, Kentucky. Four brothers; Delzie (Kathy) Amburgey Jr. of Batesville, Indiana, Elwood (Charlotte) Amburgey of Sunman, Indiana, Bill Amburgey of Sunman, Indiana and MacArthur (Nelda) Amburgey of Taylor, Michigan. One sister; Annette Jenkins of Batesville, Indiana. Five grandchildren; Ron (Ann) Meade, Christy (Jason) Hall, Jima Shawn Banks, Shay (Candie) Richardson and Shane (Danielle) Richardson.
Also surviving are eleven grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by four brothers; Radford Amburgey, Agnal Amburgey, Darrell Amburgey and Denzil Amburgey.
