Obituary for Grayson Holbrook
Grayson S. Holbrook, daughter of Martin Holbrook III and the late Sharon Sexton Holbrook was born in Norton, Virginia July 26, 1995. She entered eternal life Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky being 26 years, 5 months and 12 days of age at the time of her passing.
Grayson was a member of the Forgiven Ministries of Whitesburg, Kentucky. She was a proud student of the Southeast Community College before she became sick. She was an outstanding author of children's books. She had published over 15 and was working with her grandmother on a book about the history of schools in Letcher County. She enjoyed being on the Tuesday Morning Round Table on WXKQ. She was also on the Foster Care Review Board, a Kentucky Colonel and received the Unsung Heroes Award from the Letcher County Chamber of Commerce. She Loved her family and friends. It was often said she never saw a stranger. She said that is because they could become your friend.
She is survived by her loving father, Martin (Melody) Holbrook III of Whitesburg, Kentucky, maternal grandmother, Shirley Sexton of Colson, Kentucky, two brothers, Bryson Coots of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Cody Coots of Lexington, Kentucky, a sister, Seanna Coots of Colson, Kentucky.
Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Martin Holbrook II and Juanita Holbrook; maternal grandfather, Willard Sexton.
