Glenda Brooks Sexton, daughter of the late Hubert H. and Roberta Marie Rogers Brooks was born September 15, 1935 in Thornton, Kentucky. She entered eternal life Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at her residence in Thornton, Kentucky being 83 years, 8 months and 27 days of age at the time of her passing.
She married Steven Carroll Sexton on September 4, 1955 at the First Baptist Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She was a member there since 1964 while teaching the children's Sunday school for 20 years. Glenda was a member of the Pine Mountain Chapter D.A.R. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Steven Carroll Sexton of Thornton, Kentucky. One son, Steven Mark Sexton of Spartanburg, South Carolina. One daughter, Stephanie Marie (Terry) Bentley of Nicholas, Kentucky. One brother, Paul Dean Brooks of Sandlick, Kentucky.
Glenda was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Sharon Elaine Sexton. Two brothers; Jack E. Brooks and Ronald L. Brooks.
