Obituary for Gerline Spangler
Gerline Spangler, daughter of the late Sammy Lewis Adams and Goldie Mae Adams was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, December 14, 1941. She entered eternal life Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the Letcher Manor Nursing Home in Whitesburg, Kentucky being eighty years, three months and three days of age at the time of her passing.
Gerline married William Riley Spangler. He passed away in 1993. She was a member of The Seco Pentecostal Church in Seco, Kentucky and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Gerline was a loving mother, grandmother, and great friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Betty (Allen) Sexton of Little Cowan, Kentucky, three sons, John Riley Spangler of Monroe, Kentucky, Alvin (Beverly) Spangler of Knoxville, Tennessee and Roy Joe (Verdie) Spangler of Cowan, Kentucky.
Also surviving are thirteen grandchildren, Jonathon, Jessie, Joshua, Retha, Willie, Jaywanica, Alvin Jr, William, Tiflene, Joseph Daniel, Travis, Celena, Brandy Louella, thirty great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by two sons, Lewis Boggs, Alex Spangler, grandson, Jason and daughter-in-law, Brenda Spangler.
