Obituary for Freeda S. Cornett
Freeda S. Cornett, daughter of the late Basel Smith and Nora Smith was born in Hazard, Kentucky November 18, 1952. She entered eternal life Monday, January 20, 2014 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being sixty one years, two months, and two days of age at the time of her passing. Freeda enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. She also loved her animals especially her dog "Lucky". She is survived by her two loving daughters; Freeda Amanda Tackett and husband Shawn of Roxanna, Kentucky and Tonya Combs of Mayking, Kentucky. Two sons; Scott Cornett and wife Sarah of Roxanna, Kentucky and Ishmael Cornett and wife Rebecca of Kingscreek, Kentucky. Three brothers, Tilvis Smith of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Mason Smith of Jenkins, Kentucky and Allen Smith of Pennsylvania. Two sisters, Donna Slone of Roxanna, Kentucky. Allene Cornett of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
