Fred Holliday, son of the late Sammie Green Holliday and Clara Gwinn Holliday was born at Hazard, Kentucky, December 31, 1944. He entered eternal life Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical center in Pikeville, Kentucky being 80 years, 11 months and 23 days of age at the time of his passing.
Fred was a loving father, grandfather, brother and great friend to all that knew him.
Fred is survived by his companion, Janet Burgess, a son, James Arnold Holliday of Somerset, Kentucky, a daughter, Malena Ann Blair of Chavies, Kentucky, two brothers, Johnny Holliday of Viper, Kentucky and Wallace Holliday of Viper, Kentucky and Wallace Holliday of Semore, Kentucky, a sister Gladys Smith of Stanton, Kentucky.
Also surviving are six grandchildren, Douglas, Serenity, Lavaughn, Veronica, Malna and Dustin, a great-grandchild, Isabella and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Fred was preceded in death by a son, Fred Douglas Holliday, four brothers, Bill Holliday, Ben Harrison Holliday, Fontain Holliday and Beecher Holliday, three sisters, Martha Stidham, Wanda Harvey and Anna Acosta.
