Obituary for Franklin "Delano" Wright
Franklin Delano Wright, son of the late Andy Wright and Lula Stapleton Wright was born in Letcher County, Kentucky August 11, 1936 . He passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Mayking, Kentucky being 77 years, 10 months of age at the time of his passing. Delano married Helen Hall Wright July of 1958. He was a US Army Veteran. He enjoyed many things, but spending time with his family and friends is what he enjoyed most. He is survived by his loving wife, Helen Wright of Mayking, Kentucky. Two brothers, Andrew Wright of Jenkins, Kentucky and Jim Wright of Williamstown, Kentucky. Four sisters, Vena Wright of Williamstown, Kentucky, Judy Coffman of Florence, Kentucky, Peggy Wampler of North Carolina, and Martha Wampler of Lexington, Kentucky. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Patrick, Aberum and Emily. Two great-grandchildren, Calie Beth and Levi Gabe and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Delano is preceded in death by a brother, Dan Wright. Three sister, Elizabeth Grubbs, Betty Dicks and Hazel Fugate. Two sons, Patrick Wright and Matthew Wright.
