Obituary for Frank Sturgill
Obituary Frank Sturgill, son of the late Carl and Margie Boggs Sturgill was born on Big Cowan, Whitesburg, Kentucky July 17, 1948. He entered eternal life Tuesday, September 16, 2014 being 66 years, 1 month and 29 days of age at the time of his passing. Frank married Carolyn Harvey Sturgill June 8, 1968 in The Little Cowan Primitive Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, country cooking and spending time with his family and friends. Frank was also a UK basketball fan. He was a member of the Premium Baptist Church in Premium, Kentucky. While serving in the Army he was in the 503rd. Corp. Of Engineers in Stuttgart, Germany. He is survived by his wife Carolyn Sturgill of Cowan, Kentucky. Three sons; David C. Sturgill of Lexington, Kentucky, John T. Sturgill and Jeremy R. Sturgill and Tracie Gibson Sturgill both of Cowan, Kentucky. One daughter, Suzette Anne Sturgill-Sexton and Randall Sexton of Sandlick, Kentucky. Three brothers; James Sturgill, Douglas Sturgill and Charles Sturgill all of Cowan. Six sisters; Helen Brown of Dry Fork, Kentucky, Shirley Mullins of Morristown, Tennessee, Doris Mason of Kona, Kentucky, Carlyon Sue Gibson and Angelena Morris both of Dry Fork, Kentucky and Linda Darlene Stidham of Kona, Kentucky. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Jacob Andrew Gibson, Skylar Jenning Sturgill, Anngelena Kate Sturgill, Amelia Jane Sturgill , Franklin Maxwell Sexton and Jax Ryan Sturgill and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Frank was preceded in death by a sister, Alma Louise Collins.
