Obituary for Francis "Fran" Day Robinson
Francis Day Robinson, daughter of the late William "Bill" and Susie Webb Sparks was born in Bottom Fork, Kentucky March 27, 1930. She entered eternal life Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Highlands ARH Medical Center being 89 years, 11 months and 20 days of age at the time of her passing.
Francis was the widow of Wilson Day, Jr who passed away on November 10, 1974. She was also widowed by her second husband Paul Robinson. "Granny Fran" retired from Whitesburg ARH to open Fran's Tan where she loved visiting with her customers whom she considered to be family. She enjoyed fishing with her siblings and was an avid quilter. Her Favorite pastime was traveling with her grand-children and following them in their sports. Francis was a member of Little Rock Old Regular Baptist Churchand also loved attending the Neon first Church of God.
Surviving are two loving daughters, Phyllis (David) Barker of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Sandra (P.M.) Hogg of Kona, Kentucky. Also surviving are four grandchildren: TeShawna (Ben) Sutton, Jason (TIna) Hogg, Larissa (Nathan) Bailey and Shane Barker. She was blessed with nine great-grandchildren: Cooper Bailey, Ryse Sutton, Sophia Hogg, Allisandra Bailey, Wilson Day Sutton, Jaci Hogg, Karoline Kate Sutton, Baylor Barker and Atticus Barker. Also surviving Francis are two brothers and one sister: Carl Sparks, Larry Sparks and Gloria Haynes. She leaves behind many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Francis was preceded in death by five sisters: Denoral Sparks, Juanita Day, Maewood Wilder, Carnell Cook and Pat Posey. She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Ronnie Sparks, William Sparks, and Riley Flannery Sparks.
