Obituary for Elmer Elwood Sexton
Elmer Elwood Sexton, son of the late Thomas and Virgie Quillen Sexton was born in Whitesburg, Kentucky, June 17, 1933. He entered eternal life Friday, March 16, 2018 at residence in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 84 years, 8 months and 29 days of age at the time of his passing.
Elmer was married to the late Owa Faye Sexton. She passed away September 28, 2012. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and a great friend to all that knew him. Elmer was a veteran having served in the United States Airforce. He was a member of the Calvary Temple Church of God in Sandlick, Kentucky.
He is survived by two daughters: Oma Lou Osbourne of North Charleston, South Carolina and Tina Renee Adams of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Four brothers: Charles Edward Sexton of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Luther Allen Sexton of Erlanger, Kentucky, Jerry Wayne Sexton of Clay City, Kentucky and Terry Layne Sexton of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Four sisters, Irene Dyer of Portsmouth, Ohio, Geraldine Garnett of Alabama, Anna Mae Cook and Faye Herron both of Whitesburg, Kentucky.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Elmer was preceded in death by a grandson. Little Parnell Adams. Two brothers, Jack Sexton and Don Sexton.
