Obituary for Edward L. Pike
Edward L. Pike, was the son of Arnold and Angeline May Pike. He was born December 25, 1935 in Seco, Kentucky. He entered eternal life on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at The Greg Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard , Kentucky being 87 years of age at the time of his passing.
Ed married Betty Webb on September 10, 1954 in Clintwood, Virginia. He was a US Airforce Veteran having served in the Vietnam war. He was a devoted Christian and a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist Church in Millstone, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his family and friends. Ed was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and great friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife, Betty Jo Pike of Neon, Kentucky, son, Jeffrey Pike of Mayking, Kentucky, sister, Diane Baker of Millstone, Kentucky, brothers, Robert Pike of Knott County, Kentucky, Wendell Pike of Radcliff, Kentucky and Vernon Gale Pike of Rutledge, Tennessee, granddaughter, Katherine (Robert) Cornett of Whitesburg, Kentucky, grandson, Thomas (Courtney Venters) of Mayking, Kentucky.
Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Reese, Hudson Cornett, Renley, Owen Pike and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and Arnold Ray Pike, a sister Shirley Pike and daughter-in-law, Sherry Pike.
