Obituary for Edna Emma Meade
Edna Emma Meade, daughter of the late John Cook and Emma Boyd Cook was born in Liverpool, England August 9, 1920. She entered eternal life Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital in Harlan, Kentucky being 91 years, 10 months, and 8 days of age at the time of her passing. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, and a great friend to all that knew her. She enjoyed many things but traveling is what she enjoyed the most. She is survived by her loving son, Allan McKenna ( Surin) of Knoxville, Tennessee. Three daughters; Sandra Barber ( Leon) of Mayking, Kentucky, Pamela Mullins of Cumberland, Kentucky, and Cynthia Spangler of McRoberts, Kentucky. Son-in -law, Sam Carrier of Michigan. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, several great and several great - great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She is preceded in death by a daughter, June Carrier.
