Durward Edward Narramore, Jr, son of the late Durward E. Narramore Sr. and Helen Louise Gilliam Narramore was born in Jenkins, Kentucky, September 1, 1952. He entered eternal life Friday, October 28, 2016 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 64 years, 1 month and 28 days of age at the time of his passing.
Durward married Deborah Lynn Bentley in Neon, Kentucky, August 5, 1972. He worked over 20 years for Manning Coal in Jenkins, Kentucky and was currently working at R.O.S.P (Red Onion State Prison) in Pound, Virginia. Durward was a devoted christian for 50 years and was a song leader at the First Baptist Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky. He served on the Jenkins School Board for 22 years, where he was chairman and served on the Kentucky School Board Association for 20 years and was elected President for 4 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Lynn Narramore of Jenkins, Kentucky. One son, Durward Edward Narramore III (Cathy) of Whitesburg, Kentucky. One daughter, Barbi Deanna (Matt) Mercer of Taylorsville, Kentucky. Three sisters; Margaret Ann Lewis (Richard) of Jenkins, Kentucky, Lana Shubert (Robert) of Jenkins, Kentucky and Lois Johnson of Frankfort, Kentucky.
Also surviving are six grandchildren; Sophia, Breyden, Bristol, Alexis, Addison, Ashton and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
