Obituary for Dorothy Jean Miles
Dorothy Jean Miles, daughter of the late Hillard Fields and Hazel Smith Fields was born in Tribbey, Kentucky July 3, 1937. She entered eternal life Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Hazard Appalachian Regional Hospital in Hazard, Kentucky being 76 years, 6 months, and 26 days of age at the time of her passing. Dorothy married Glenn Miles on April 22, 1954 in Letcher County, Kentucky. She attended Faith community Church in Whitesburg, Kentucky. She was a member of the Red Hat Society, Homemakers and the Whitesburg ARH volunteers. She was coordinator over parent involvement in LKLP headstart. She enjoyed painting, making jewelry. arts and crafts, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband, Glenn Miles of Cowan, Kentucky. Two sons, Gary Miles and wife Brenda of Georgetown, Kentucky and Paul David Miles of Cowan, Kentucky. One daughter, Glenda Jean Kelley of Cowan, Kentucky. Nine grandchildren. 7 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. She is preceded in death by two brothers Denver & Dennis Fields.
