Obituary for Donald Sparks
Donald Lee Sparks, son of Eugene and Jeanette Scott Sparks was born in Harlan Kentucky, August 9th, 1967. He entered eternal life Saturday August 27, 2016 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington Kentucky, being 49 years and 18 days of age at the time of his passing.
Donald graduated from Whitesburg High School in 1985 and was a member of the Whitesburg High School Marching Band. He was a devoted father and son. Donald was a honorary Kentucky Colonel appointed by Governor Paul Patton.
Donald a member of the Thornton Old Regular Baptist Church, being baptized September 1995 by his grandfather, the late Elder Ismay Sparks, and his late great-uncle, Elder Bill Sparks.
Donald is survived by his loving Parents, Eugene and Jeanette Sparks of Mayking, Kentucky, his son, Peyton Lee Sparks of Whitesburg, Kentucky, his brother, Rick (Jettie) Sparks of Frankfort, Kentucky and nieces Morgan and Marley, his brother David Wayne Sparks and fiance Melanie Sexton, her children Keora and Kevin Hollyfield of Whitesburg, Kentucky, his niece, Alexis Sparks, his Great Aunt Alice Kincer, who was like a second mother to him, his Aunt, Vel Spangler of Kettering, Ohio, and his uncles, Major (Ella) Sparks of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Wendell (Shirley) Sparks of Mayking, Kentucky, Jim (Joan) Scott of McRoberts, Kentucky and Ronald (Martha) Scott, of Huntsville, Alabama.
Also surviving are a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones to mourn his passing and celebrate his life.
