Obituary for Delores K. Engle
Delores K. Engle, daughter of the late John Francis and Alice Williams Hampton was born at McRoberts, Kentucky, October 1, 1945. She entered eternal life Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at the Bluegrass Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 73 years, 10 months and 13 days of age at the time of her passing.
Delores had been married to Charles Engle for 55 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to all that knew her. Delores had worked as a D.J. for WNKY (Neon) and WKVG at (Jenkins) for 24 years. She had been a member of the Neon First Church Of God for 40 years.
She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Engle of Payne Gap, Kentucky. A daughter, Darla Engle of Johnson City, Tennessee. Two sisters; Betty Sue Sturgill of Flat Gap, Virginia and Peggy "Patsy" Sturgill of Eolia, Kentucky.
Also surviving is a granddaughter, Abigail (Shanon) Cornelius of Johnson City, Tennessee and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Delores was preceded in death by a brother, Fred Hampton.
