Obituary for Della Mae Maggard
Della Mae Maggard, daughter of the late Johnny Shearer and Stella Stacy Harvey was born at West Liberty, Kentucky. November 20, 1929. She entered eternal life Wednesday, February 5, 2020 at Van, Kentucky being 90 years, 2 months and 15 days of age at the time of her passing.
Della married Morris Maggard February 13, 1946. He passed away March 12, 2014. She enjoyed arts, crafts, sewing, crocheting and was a devoted member of the Pentecostal faith. Della was a loving, mother, grandmother and a great friend to all that knew her.
She is survived by her three loving daughters, Stella Louise (Jess) Bates of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Mary Kathern (Earnest) Wilson and Gwendolyn (Charles) Saylor both of Van, Kentucky. A sister, Christine Combs of Hazard, Kentucky.
Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
Della was preceded in death by three sisters, Emma Jean Hughes, Rosa Lee young and Dorothy Kilburn.
