Obituary for David McKinley Sexton
David McKinley Sexton, 78, died July 11, 2015, at his home. He was the son of the late Arlie and Esma Adams Sexton of Sandlick and was a life long resident of Letcher County. He worked as a miner, mine foreman, electrician and security guard for several area mines, He was formerly a Mason and a member of the Sandlick Volunteer Fire Department. David was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 54 years, Wanda Marshall Sexton, and a much loved son-in-law, Monroe Jamison. Survivors include: two daughters, Daveena Sexton of Abingdon, Virginia, Stephanie Williams and husband Michael Williams of Sharps Chapel, Tennessee; one granddaughter, Hannah Jamison (Russell Waddell) of Lexington, Kentucky, two sisters, Shirley Sizemore of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Hilda Adams of Shepherdsville, Kentucky; four sister-in-law, Deborah Marshall of Greenville, South Carolina, Joyce Rich of Knoxville, Tennessee and Sue Sexton and Glenna Sexton both of Whitesburg, Kentucky and numerous of other family and friends.
