Obituary for Darrell E. Hampton
Darrell E. Hampton, son of the late Floyd and Anna Hall Hampton was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, December 31, 1950. He entered eternal life Thursday, October 17, 2013 at UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky being 62 years, 9 months and 16 days of age at the time of his passing. Darrell was married to Diane Potter Hampton, December 29, 1984. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Diane Hampton of Kite, Kentucky. Two daughters; Tracy Hampton Harmon (Michael) and MaLisa Hampton Green (James) both of Westminster, Maryland. A step-daughter, Bridgette Madden (Rodney) of Isom, Kentucky. Four brothers; Jay Hampton (Nancy) of Homer Glen, Illinois, Danis Hampton (Nadine) of Lexington, Kentucky, Norman Hampton (Betty) of Orland Park, Illinois and Ben Hampton of Allen, Kentucky. Two sisters; Joyce Brock (Dale) of Lexington, Kentucky and Bonita Hamilton (Charlie) of Hebron, Kentucky. Ten grandchildren; Alicia, Alex, Brittni, Jamie, Brooke, James Jr., Tristan, CaSandra, Sydnee and BreAnna. One great grandson, Conner Cook. a sister-in-law ,Shirley Tipton of Townson,Tennessee Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Darrell was preceded in death by a brother, Claude Hampton.
