Obituary for D. Ed Collier
D. Ed Collier, son of the late Lonnie Vincent and Pearl Halcomb Collier was born at Eolia, Kentucky, August 2, 1948. He entered eternal life, Wednesday July, 25, 2018 at the Missions Hospital in Asheville, North Carolina being 69 years, 11 months and 23 days of age at the time of his passing.
Ed was a loving brother and friend to all that knew him. He loved the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and always wanted to be laid to rest there. Ed was a proud US Army veteran having served in Vietnam.
He is survived by a brother, Wallace "Walley" Collier of Columbia City, Indiana. Two sisters, Stacy Dear and Sandra Kelly both of Columbia City, Indiana. A loving companion, Sandra Bridges of Asheville, North Carolina.
Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.
Ed was preceded in death by a sister, Mantie Furnas. Three brothers, Roger Collier, Harold Collier and Rick Collier.
