Obituary for Cora Lee Sturgill
Cora Lee Sturgill, daughter of the late Bruce Lewis and Ruby Maggard Lewis was born February 13, 1940 in Cutchen, Kentucky. She entered eternal life Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Greg Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 75 years, 7 months and 28 days of age at the time of her passing. Cora married Dewey "Dude" Sturgill in 1957 they were married for 33 years. He passed away January 26, 1990. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, mamaw, sister and a great friend to all that knew her. She is survived By three sons, Dewey and wife Shellie Sturgill of Panama City, Florida, Chris and wife Amanda Sturgill of Isom, Kentucky and Greg and wife Tammy Sturgill of Prater, Kentucky. Three daughters, Dana Outlaw of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Twila Sturgill and companion David Manuel of Knoxville, Tennessee, Misti and husband Jackie Ramey of Wise, Virginia. Seven brothers, Myrel Lewis, Tommy Lewis both of Bean Station, Tennessee, Jack Lewis of Marble, North Carolina, Fairley Lewis, Lester Lewis both of Eolia, Kentucky, Chester Lewis of Blue Ridge, Georgia and Joey Lewis of Murphy, North Carolina. Four sisters, Ruth Church and Judy Collier both of Eolia, Kentucky, Carol Rayburn of Cowan, Kentucky, Becky Fereichs of Waterburg, Nebraska. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, Bruce and wife Melena Outlaw, Sheldon and wife Stacy Sturgill, Shannon Sturgill, Tabitha and husband Jacob Lewis, Shawn and wife Natasha Sturgill, Desirae and husband Logan Mills, Amber and husband Luke Sampson, Cody Walker, Josh Krahenbuhl, Dakota Krahenbuhl, Kelsee Roberts, Jackson Ramey, Jace Ramey, Chloe Sturgill, Harley Driskell and Colt Sturgill and 19 great - grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing. Cora is preceded in death by a sister, Jean Brock.
