Obituary for Charles Holland
Charles "Scrub" Holland Jr., son of the late Charlie and Garnie Rowe Holland was born in Letcher County, Kentucky, October 13, 1955. He entered eternal life Friday, August 10, 2012 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital, being 56 years, 9 months and 11days of age at the time of his passing. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He was very involved with charitable events such as Marlowe Tackett's Christmas and the Relay for life. He is survived by a companion of 27 years, Geraldine Stallard. Two daughters; Jennifer Lucas of Somerset, Kentucky and Ruth Stallard of Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Four sisters; Eula Ve Joseph of Whitesburg, Kentucky, Shelby Hammonds of Clarksville, Indiana, Devonne Profitt of Villa Rica, Georgia and Joann Hoffman of Floyd Knobs, Indiana. Four grandchildren; Jeffery Paul Lucas of Somerset, Kentucky, Andrew Sexton of Dryfork, Kentucky, Tequila Hart of Whitesburg, Kentucky and Adriana Sexton of Prestonsburg, Kentucky. Also surviving are a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Charles was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Holland. Two brothers; Troy Holland and Jeffery Wayne Holland. Two sisters; Carolyn Kay Gilley and Wanda Faye Stacy.
