Obituary for Calvin "Coolie" Baker
Calvin "Coolie" Baker son of the late Roosevelt and Kylone Sturgill Baker was born in Letcher County, Kentucky January 25, 1938. He entered eternal life Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Isom, Kentucky being 76 years, 11 months and 16 days of age at the time of his passing. Coolie was married to Janice Isaacs Baker, June 22, 1961. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and was an avid UK basketball fan. Coolie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him. He is survived by his wife Janice Baker of Isom, Kentucky. Two daughters; Kathy (Jimmy) Adams, Katina (Kiley) Hall all of Isom, Kentucky. Five brothers; Edsel Baker of Isom, Kentucky, Kenneth Baker of Vicco, Kentucky, Warren Douglas Baker of Clay City, Kentucky, Christopher Baker of Hindman, Kentucky and Michael Baker of Mayking, Kentucky. Four sisters; Creda Joyce Isaacs of Deane, Kentucky, Anita Redden of Beckley, West Virginia, Linda Lou Lucas of Colson, Kentucky and Melissa Cook of Top Most, Kentucky. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Nikkia (Brian) Lucas, Ashley Benton, Addison Hall and Alli Hall. Two great grandchildren; Brooke Lucas and Noah Lucas and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Coolie was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Baker
