Obituary for Bobby Preston Stamper
Bobby Preston Stamper son of Betty Cantrell York and the late Tensley Stamper was born in Fleming Neon, Kentucky April 25, 1954. He entered eternal life Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky being 64 years of age at the time of his passing.
Bobby married Sherry Potter on January 26, 1979 in Clintwood, Virginia. He was a minister for 35 years at Victory Temple Church in Neon, Kentucky. He enjoyed fishing and watching his grandsons play football. He loved to preach the word of God and see peoples lives change. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, pastor and a great friend to all that knew him.
He is survived by his mother, Betty York of Arjay, Kentucky. Wife, Sherry Stamper of Thornton, Kentucky. One son, Shannon (Georgena) Branham of McRoberts, Kentucky. Three daughters, Lora (Donald) Cummings of Cowan, Kentucky, Bobbie Stamper of Thornton, Kentucky and Lindsey (Brent) Combs of Bottomfork, Kentucky. Three sisters, Alfreda (Casey) Potter of North Carolina, Deborah (Robert) Metcalf of Millstone, Kentucky and Melissa Stamper of Bill Moore Branch, Kentucky.
He is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Kalin, Dominick, Trevor, Hayden, Keaston, Isabella, Conner, Preston, Katie, Jace and Paislee. Three very special girls, Hannah, Mandy and Chelsea.
Bobby is preceded in death by two sisters, Teresa Pike and Sherri Pennington. Four brothers, Allen Stamper, Clifford Stamper, Erwin Stamper and Robert Stamper.
