Obituary for Birty Tackitt
Obituary Birty Tackitt, daughter of the late Daniel Johnson and Nannie Hall Johnson was born in Knott County, Kentucky February 24, 1926. She entered eternal life Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 87 years, 8 months, and 10 days of age at the time of her passing. Birty married Freddie Tackett. He passed away November 16, 1982. She enjoyed sewing, watching wrestling and Days of Our Lives, and working jigsaw puzzles. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and a great friend to all that knew her. She is survived by one daughter, Wanda Boggs and husband Steven of Pound, Virginia. One son, Carl Tackett and wife Faye of Bill Moore Branch, Kentucky. Two brothers, Delford Johnson of Chicago, Illinois and Ishmel Johnson of Cromona, Kentucky. Two sisters, Vilie King of Ripley, Ohio and Jocie Fisher of Chicago, Illinois. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Ronald Tackitt , Keisha Parton, and Sheena Potter and one great-granchild, Rylee Parton She is preceded in death by one great-granchild, Landon Parton and one son, Franklin Tackitt.
