Obituary for Billy "Pap" Maggard
Billy "Pap" Maggard, son of the late Hiram and Mary Davis Maggard was born in Cumberland, Kentucky, June 15, 1929. He entered eternal life Saturday, July 14, 2012 in Garrett, Indiana being 83 years and 29 days of age at the time of his passing. Billy was married to Helen V. Day Maggard December 18, 1954. She passed away June 4, 2007. He was a member of the Millstone Missionary Baptist and attended the Upper Room Tabernacle of Praise church in Indiana. Billy is survived by a daughter, Anita Freeburn of Garrett, Indiana. Three Sons: David Maggard of Owingsville, Kentucky; James Maggard of Blackey, Kentucky and Hiram Royce Maggard of Hindman, Kentucky. One brother, Morris Maggard of Cowan, Kentucky. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing. Billy was preceded in death by two granddaughters and a brother, James Tate Maggard.
