Obituary for Billy Gene Looney
Billy Gene Looney, son of the late James Looney Jr. and Lucille Thompson Looney was born in Seco, Kentucky on January 12, 1947. He entered eternal life Sunday, February 6, 2022 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Healthcare Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky being 75 years and 24 days at the time of his passing.
Billy was a loving husband for over 40 years, father, grandfather, brother and friend to all that knew him. He was a loving husband for over 40 years. Billy was a member of the Fleming Neon Church Of God. He was also a member of the Whitesburg Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Looney of Rutledge, Tennessee. Four daughters; Anna (Clyde) Stanley of Jenkins, Kentucky, Kim (Doug) Stewart of Mayking, Kentucky, Andrea (James) Yonts of Neon, Kentucky and Mistie Lee Johnson of Neon, Kentucky. Two brothers; Bob Looney of Mayking, Kentucky and Jackie Looney of Seco, Kentucky. One sister, Debbie Wright of Cromona, Kentucky.
Also surviving are six grandchildren; Ryan (Samantha), Lori, Andrew, Isaiah, Kyra and Joby. Seven great grandchildren and his beloved dog, Princess.
Billy was preceded in death by a son, Billy Gene Looney Jr.. One grandson, Michael Fugate. A granddaughter, Amber Fugate, and a sister, Patricia Trotter.
