Obituary for Billie J. Bates
Billie J. Bates, daughter of the late William and Mary Robins Craft was born in Letcher County, Kentucky October 4, 1946. She entered eternal life Monday, July 30, 2012 at the Greg & Noveen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky being 65 years, 9 months, and 26 days of age at the time of her passing. Billie married Wendell M. Bates September 7, 1969 in Clintwood, Virginia. She enjoyed going to church and spending time with her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and great friend to all that knew her. She was a member of the Bill Moore Branch Holiness Church in Bill Moore Branch, Kentucky. She is survived by her loving husband, Wendell M. Bates, Bottom Fork, Kentucky. Three sons; Wendell Bates, Jr of Bottom Fork, Kentucky, Jason Bates of Whitesburg, Kentucky, and Jesse Bates of Mayking, Kentucky. Three daughters; Jennifer Bryant of Bill Moore Branch, Kentucky, Wendy Stines of Bill Moore Branch, Kentucky, and Robin Bates of Neon, Kentucky. Three brothers; James R. Polly of Bill Moore Branch, Kentucky, Johnny D. Craft also of Bill Moore Branch, Kentucky, and James Green of Craft Branch, Kentucky. Three sisters; Alene Ballou of Bottom Fork, Kentucky, Brenda Wright of Payne Gap, Kentucky, and Ethel Green of Kentucky. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Caitlin, Jonathan, Jacob, Hope, Lee, Justin, Jesse, Braylan and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
