Obituary for Betty S. Tyree
Betty Tyree, daughter of the late Rev. Bill Howard and Cindy Fields Howard was born in Marlow, Kentucky February 10, 1941. She entered eternal life December 16, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky being 81 years, 10 months and 6 days of age at the time of her passing.
Betty married Bertus Tyree December 9, 1961 in Clintwood, Virginia. He passed away October 4, 2021. She loved the lord and enjoyed going to church at The Way Of Life Ministries and visiting other churches. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Randy (Melissa) Tyree and daughter Robin Tyree all of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Six brothers; Hilliard Howard of Lady Lake, Florida, John Howard of Rutledge, Tennessee, Huber Howard, Jack Howard, Charles Howard, and Bobby Howard all of Whitesburg, Kentucky. Two sisters; Joann Iddings of Indianapolis, Indiana and Judy Greene of Rutledge, Tennessee.
Also surviving are four grandchildren; Miranda Tyree, Chris (Julie) Tyree, Cindy (Larry Wayne) Mayse, Katie (Josh) Honeycutt. Nine great grandchildren; Harrison, Parker, Odessa, Eliza, Grayson, Maddie, Harlan, River and Cain and her special cat, Baby, and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by four sisters; Della Pennington, Oma Hatton, Louise Shepherd, Kathleen Brock and one brother, Eddie Howard.
