Betty Adams, daughter of the late George and Easter Shell Blanton was born in Hazard, Kentucky, April 13, 1960. She entered eternal life Wednesday, July 14 2021 at the Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital in Whitesburg, Kentucky been 61 years, 3 months and 1 day.
Betty married Danny Adams, November 14, 1975 in Clintwood, Virginia. She enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with her family and friends especially her grandchildren. She worked as an special instructional aide at West Whitesburg Elementary School in Whitesburg, Kentucky for several years touching the hearts of so many.
She is survived by her loving husband, Danny Adams of Ermine, Kentucky. Two daughters, Hazel "Daniel" Adams and Easter Blanton both of Ermine, Kentucky. Four sons, Daniel "Ida Gail" of Thornton, Kentucky, Isaiah Adams, Willie "Tracy" Smith and Derrick Smith all of Ermine, Kentucky. Three brothers, Wayne Blanton of Viper, Kentucky, Watson Melton of Knott Co, Kentucky and George Blanton of Tennessee. A sister, Juanita Melton of Hazard, Kentucky.
Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Jacob Adams, Melissa Adams, Destiny Adams, Marissa Johnson, Kendra Combs , Kendall Combs, Michael Profitt and Shay Combs. Eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, James Blanton and Billy Ray Blanton.
